Is it ok to sell a empty mobile phone box, and should I block out the IMEI numbers?
Basically, my old phone broke. So I sent it off to my insurer to repair, but I didn't send it in the original box because of fear I wouldn't get the original box back if they did send it back. Anyway, they couldn't repair said phone, so they replaced it with a newer model. Is it ok to sell an empty phone box on eBay, and should I black out the IMEI numbers?

Just recycle it.
