International Purchase Actual Price more than Bid Price
I successfully won a bid for an item in the US. The actual price is now more than the bid price - bid price $24, price to pay $27. (I'm paying in US $.) Can anyone explain this difference please? No additional fees, apart from postage have been mentioned.
Many thanks

Mentor5 months ago20% import VAT will be added if you're shipping an item from the US to the UK.

OP5 months agoThanks. I was confused because the amount extra was less than 20% of the purchase price but the principle makes sense.
