Insurance with Postage
Hi, how do I get postage with insurance for a gold ring? EBay seems to force us to use simple delivery but I want to do Royal Mail Tracked Next Day by 1pm delivery which covers me for insurance. Many thanks Claire

Mentor1 week agoebay exclude precious metals from Simple Delivery seller protection so you should be able to opt out of SD and use your own postage. Try changing the category or sub-category and see if that option appears.
If not you could list with free postage, factor that cost into your item price and buy your own postage outside of ebay. There would still be a SD label but you can claim a refund for it. You can't change tracking number but you would be able to add the new number to a "not received" case if that were necessary. Payment may be held for 14 days.
