InPost problem
Summary: amethyst-13 accidentally used InPost for a parcel and mistakenly left it in a locker without completing the process, thus leaving the parcel stuck without a receipt. After contacting InPost, they were advised to have the buyer claim "item not received" on eBay and request CCTV footage, but john1297576 doubts eBay will comply with such a request and suggests the likely need to refund the buyer.
Hi,
I have never used InPost before but accidentally clicked on it for one of my parcels. Didn't know what to do and have made a right mess of it.
Took the parcel to the locker, scanned QR code and waited for a label, no label (I know know I didn't need one) so in a panic I called InPost got an AI who told me to choose a locker, place the parcel inside and close the door, but in a fluster I forgot to press finish. So the outcome is my parcel is stuck in the locker because I don't have a receipt for it. Eventually got through to a human at InPost who said I need to tell the buyer that they need to claim item not received, and they need to ask eBay to request CCTV from InPost. Has anyone come across this before?
Would appreciate help please.

Not a chance ebay would do anything of the sort.
Just let buyer open a not received case, and I expect you will have to refund. What will happen to your parcel I have no idea, but I would think up to InPost to retrieve it and return to you.
