IND case but have now realised it's due to incomplete address given
Hi, After a bit of advice, Normally i tend to spot incomplete addresses etc, but one has slip through.
Buyer address had a flat number missing. Address only had the road and the building name.
Item sent via RM48 service.
Item has not been delivered possibly due to incomplete address or RM delays. Buyer has opened a case, and during my investigation found flat number missing, which I informed the buyer on the case, and to check if it's been delivered to any of the other flats, postie may spot the name and realise which flat it's for so may get delivered or may come back to me. Unfortunately it's an unreasonable buyer, pledging they had the right address etc. (Which I've politely asked them to check on the order details to prove i'm not lying etc.) now radio silence.
Any advice on what to do as I fear ebay will ofcourse refund buyer should it get escalated by them.

Mentor7 months agoIf you posted the item to the name and address eBay gave you on the order details, this is what you need to enter along with the tracking into any case the buyer opens. Was the Flat number missing on those details?
Was this a Simple Delivery transaction? Ask the buyer to open a case for item not received, and eBay should step in and fully refund them, under SD rules you get to keep the payout.

OP7 months agoHi, Yep posted to the name and address ebay gave.
Sent RM48 (Confirmation of delivery, Not Tracked)
Not SD, But through my RM Business account, Buy has already opened INR case (Apologies I put IND in title), which is the concern, as i've not done anything wrong, as its an incomplete address (missing flat number) which should Ebay step in, will refund, when its buyers fault eg full address not entered/provided.

·7 months agoIf you bought the label through Ebay, then, if you refund now and the item is subsequently delivered, you do get your money back.
So, I would refund the buyer then keep an eye on the tracking.
Hopefully, it will be delivered (somewhere) and Ebay will refund you or it will come back to you undelivered.
The buyer is complaining.
You can't prove delivery.
You may as well refund them.
Alternatively, you can ask Ebay to step in and ask them to look at the incomplete address and find in your favour.

Flat number missing, most likely wont be delivered. (still hasn't)
That's the issue will ebay agree flat number is missing and find in my favour, as rather not ebay stepping in defect or is the likely scenario that they will see it not delivered and refund and give me a defect (as they had to step in) to add to my misery, despite it being buyer error of incomplete address.
