Incorrect returns label generated
Summary: kerplunk587 is seeking advice on how to handle a return postage label issue on eBay. They accidentally generated a label with an outdated return address and need to know if it can be cancelled and replaced with a new one using their updated address. The buyer has not yet shipped the item, so they are looking for a resolution urgently and are willing to pay for the new postage.
Can anyone help?
I’ve accepted a buyer’s return request and paid for the return postage label through eBay. Unfortunately, I’ve now realised that the label has been generated using an old return address which I no longer have access to.
I have since updated my return address in my eBay account, but I cannot find any way to amend or regenerate the existing label so that it is sent to my current return address.
The buyer has not yet posted the item, so I need to resolve this before they use the incorrect label. Could somebody please advise whether the existing label can be cancelled and a replacement label issued using my current return address? Happy to pay the postage again.
Thanks for your help.

Mentor3 weeks agoI don't think that label can be altered or reissued through ebay.
You could issue one outside of the case but then the buyer won't have tracking proving delivery.
