Incorrect postage selected and can't update tracking
Hi, I have sold a item and I selected the incorrect postage option. I need to send it by parcel force due to the size of the item. I am happy to pay as it was my error. I cannot amend the tracking number and I am worried I won't receive payment for the item as the buyer can deny they received it. What is the best thing for me to do ?

OP3 months agoI have sent the tracking details to the buyer so I am hoping this will be adequate if there is a dispute. I have amend my other listed items to show the correct postage.
I will just send as normal. Does the buyer have to update eBay that it has
been received ?

Mentor3 months agoYou cannot now add any new tracking, eBay suggest sending the buyer a message with those tracking details. If a case is opened later for item not received, you will be able to add those tracking details.
A refund is sent to whoever paid for the SD label:
Or, you can cancel the order but with the buyer's agreement, so you cancel citing ' Buyer requests to Cancel' , this refunds the buyer and you can then relist with the correct postage cost you need to buy yourself, for the buyer to buy and pay again. This gives you that important tracking.
You wouldn't have SD protection for a lost or damaged item from delivery, but would need to , if necessary, rely on the courier / postal service used protection policy.
