Incorrect Late Dispatch Defect
Summary: thewoodelves shared a frustrating experience with eBay's customer service regarding an account defect due to a misunderstood late dispatch. The original order was sent on time but lost by a courier, prompting a replacement with a new tracking number. eBay incorrectly marked the replacement tracking as late, and despite appealing, the defect was not removed. During a chat with an eBay agent, thewoodelves tried to explain the issue, but the agent maintained their stance and ended the conversation without resolving the issue.
So, i posted an order on time and uploaded tracking. This was subsequently lost by Evri and so i sent a replacement using RM. Ebay have used the replacement tracking to mark me down for late dispatch despite the original details being shown on the order. I have appealed which was refused. I then spoke to an agent who said it was sent late and quoted the replacement order date. After repeating that the information that is shown on the order clearly shows it was originally dispatched on time, the agent told me to have a nice day and left the chat! As you can see below, i was not rude or abusive. Is that me shafted? So much for the 'dispatch on time and upload a valid tracking number' ebay guarantee for sellers.
