In app photos uploading in wrong order
Summary: skyrunner.2012 reported an issue with the eBay app on their iPhone 14 Pro Max, where photos selected for a listing are consistently uploaded in reverse order. Despite troubleshooting steps such as updating the app, restarting the device, and testing with different listing methods, the problem persists. eBay app: Latest version available from the App Store (shows “Open”, no update available)
Problem:
When adding photos to an eBay listing, the app consistently reverses the order of selected photos.
Example:
I select photos in this order:
A → B → C
The listing displays them as:
C → B → A
This happens every time.
Troubleshooting completed to rule out an issue at my end:
Confirmed the eBay app is fully updated.
Force closed apps and restarted the iPhone.
Confirmed eBay has Full Photos access in iPhone Settings.
Tested creating a brand new listing — the issue still occurs.
Tested using “Sell Similar” from a sold item — the issue still occurs.
Tested with only three photos to reproduce the issue clearly — the order is still reversed.
The problem occurs consistently rather than randomly.
Expected behaviour:
Photos should appear in the order they are selected.
Actual behaviour:
Photos are uploaded and displayed in reverse selection order.
This makes creating listings difficult, especially when using many photos (often 20–24 images), as the seller has to manually reorder every image or use the web version instead.

Thank you for your post.
This was a reported issue that was fixed as part of a updated version of the eBay IOS app. It was fixed for version 6.266.0 onwards. The eBay app works with IOS 18 or later so should be compatible with your device.
