Import charges for item from Scotland to Ireland
I am trying to sell an item of significant value on the secondary market, so far an eBay member based in Ireland is interested in buying but is unhappy with the import charges, even with the offer I had made on it recently which they think is fair enough but the import charge is apparently near 80-100 alone?
I’m no expert on charges for overseas shipping, but what would be the best option?

Mentor3 months agoIrish buyers are subject to iOSs, at the prevailing vat rate in Ireland. If item over €135 (apx 128£) then they will have to pay charges direct in Ireland.

Mentor3 months agoHi,
I would think carefully about sending an expensive item to Ireland (Rep. of). If the buyer reported not as described, then it costly for you to get the item back.

Mentor3 months agoBuyer in Republic of Ireland would have to pay Irish VAT, talking about 80 - 200 is utter rubbish..
