I'm currently the highest bidder for an item but there is one left of the and it's cheaper can I bid
I'm currently the only person with the highest bid on an item but the same item on a different person who wants to sell has sent me a message saying is the last one can I buy that while I still have an active bid that I am winning on

Mentor5 months agoYou can't retract bid at this late stage of the auction, all you can do is contact the seller and ask if they can cancel your bid for you.
When you say 'but the same item on a different person who wants to sell has sent me a message ' how did that seller know you were after that particular item? Have they sent you an offer because you added their listing to your Watch list?

OP5 months agoyes my friend it was showing me the same item by several people and that was the cheapest and it's brand new it's been opened but it's not been used

Mentor5 months agoIf you wish to own 2 of these items then yes, you can buy the other item from the seller who has it listed as a Buy it Now Price.
If you win the auction, you will be expected to pay for that item.

OP5 months agoso does that mean the one that I'm bidding on and I'm winning I can't go and buy one that's the last one or can I buy the one that's the last one of the same item and cancel my bid on the other one

Mentor5 months agoThere are only a few reasons when you can retract a bid say a wrong amount has been and entered, and you wish to correct it.
Your reason, a change of mind, would not be a valid one.
Are there more than 12 hours to run? Message the seller some may accept a cancellation request and cancel your bid, but they are not obliged to do so.

OP5 months agono the bed finishes at 10:35 tonight but I don't know if I can do what you sorry if I can cancel the bid and buy the same item that someone else is selling as the last one

OP5 months agothis is the first time I've bidded you see for an item but I didn't know that you still have to honour the bid and not be able to buy the same item of someone else

It's not too late to wait for the auction to finish if it's finishing tonight. Would be best if you did that. If you win it then pay. Lose the auction then buy from this other seller.
