I think I’ve been ripped off for £1390
Summary: sepatt-9731 purchased a remanufactured engine from a seller, but discovered it was defective upon installation. Despite returning the engine, they have not received a replacement or a refund, and have struggled to resolve the issue, as the timeline for eBay intervention has passed. tommystrezures suggests contacting the payment provider, while *vyolla* advises checking the delivery tracking and consulting online consumer groups for support.
I have bought a remanufactured engine for a customers Nissan at the end of April for £1390.
Long story short they delivered the engine, we fitted it to ur customers car and on first turn of the key it was clearly not defective, there was smoke pouring out of the exhaust and after simple tests the head gasket had failed.
After contacting seller they asked for the engine to be returned which we did. Now i don't have an engine and they keep saying it will be with me but it never arrives. Ive asked for a refund but im just being messed around.
There is no returns button on the purchase history and i need ebay to get involved but im running out of ideas and the will to live.
If anyone can help I would be very grateful.
Kind regards
Sean

Mentor2 weeks agoDo you have a tracking number that shows delivery back to the seller?
If your seller is a UK registered business seller you may want to take some free advice from one of the online consumer groups (National Consumer Service is a good one, lots of free legal advice available there. Bear in mind that there are different consumer regs for Business to Business sales.

Mentor2 weeks agoYou are well past your 30 days for eBay to intervene under the money back gaurantee.
You could try your money provider and see if they can assist, but you only have upto 120 days to do so, so you may be tight on timescales.
