Mentor5 months agoIt is not possible for a buyer to refunded more than they paid if refunds go through ebay.
However the way ebay handles refunds can be confusing for sellers.
To explain it to you we need a lot more information.

What was the refund for?
What type of case was opened?
If not received or damaged in the post, and this was a Simple Delivery transaction, then eBay refunds the buyer, and you get to keep the payout.
If it was a case opened for item not as described ,you must refund through those case details .
If you refunded outside the case, and the buyer escalated the case, then yes, 2 refunds would be made.
Which of the above has happened ?

Mentor5 months agoIf you sent her the £100 refund outside a case, there is no way now to retrieve it unless a polite message to the buyer explains the error that she's been refunded twice and to send you back one payment.
Most people are honest, but there's nothing to enforce them to do this.
The refund would need to be done outside eBay, so sending you a cheque, bank transfer, or a PayPal Friends and Family payment.
If PayPal is used, email addresses need to be exchanged, this can sometimes be found with the order details >> Show Contact Info. If not and you need to ask the seller for this, make it very, very clear in your eBay messages, as eBay do read these, the reason for these exchanges. Make it clear it's not to be used for an off eBay sale.
