I was returned an item I did not sell from eBay. How do I know if someone else is using my seller account?

How can anyone return something to you if you did not sell it.

Returns are made using the system,and you would have been aware that a return case had been opened, buts as said if you did not sell then nothing can be returned.

Sounds more like a brushing scam, which means you get some cheap item sent to you, the scam is seller creating phoney sales and phoney feedback, until they look like a good seller, then they start the real selling scam.

Was there a label on the package with return details? IT could be (I don't know) that it could be part of a brushing scam if the item returned was not something you sold or purchased.
