I purchased an item that arrived damaged. I want to keep the item as it can easily be repaired but
I purchased an item which arrived with the motor damaged. It can easily be repaired and I have ordered a new motor for the clock. The seller says it is not their problem as Ebay organise transport. I would like a contribution towards the repair cost of £50 from either the seller or Ebay?

·6 months agoEbay won't give you a partial refund to repair the item. Your money has gone to the seller, not Ebay.
All you can do is start a return.
Then, the seller can offer you a partial refund or pay for the item to be returned and refund you in full.
If they are a private seller and they used Simple Delivery, you may be in line to get a full refund and keep the item.
