I paid for postage myself, then realised that ebay had prepaid postage. Can I get a refund ?
I sold an item and the buyer paid for it and postage. I paid evri for postage and despatched the item myself. I then realised that ebay had prepaid postage and taken payment from the buyer for this. How can I get a refund for the postage fee that ebay have taken ? Also, how do I mark the item as despatched, as I can't see a way to do this ?

Mentor5 months agoThe buyer will automatically get a refund for the unused label in 30 days. You cannot get a refund for the postage you bought.
You can mark dispatched by opening the original pre-paid Simple Delivery label (Get prepaid label > Get prepaid label and QR code).
You cannnot change the tracking number. You can message your buyer with the tracking details. If necessary you would be able to add the new number to an "Item not received" case if one was opened. Payment will be held for 14 days.
