I need some help?
Summary: vicky2691 sold a remote control for £8.49, including fees and postage, but only made £5. The buyer wants to return it as they no longer need it. vicky2691 is unsure whether to refund the full amount or just the profit made, expressing frustration with the potential loss. papso22 advises that if returns for change of mind are accepted, the full amount received should be refunded, prompting vicky2691 to check their return policy, as this is their first experience with such a situation.
Hi I sold a remote control £8.49 altogether that was including the eBay fees VAT and the postage. packaging out of this transaction. I made £5 from the remote.. now the ladies sent me an email asking to return it as she doesn't need this remote now. How much do I need to return to the Lady? Do I need to pay the £8.49 which included the first postage and packaging and the eBay fees and VAT or do I just return the £5 that I actually made from the transaction. This literally puts me off selling on eBay now as I've actually lost out. Pls help xx thank you so much

Mentor4 days agoAs a private seller, you can refuse change of mind returns.
If you do accept it, buyer pays return postage, you refund all money you received.
Only refund through case when item is returned.
Maybe politely suggest to buyer, that they sell it themselves.

Mentor4 days agoIf you accept a change of mind return you have to refund all that you received from the buyer.
Did the listing say you accepted returns?
