Hi, I’m a Ukrainian manufacturer who produces floor access hatch doors and ships them from Ukraine. To create a shipping label, the delivery service requires the recipient’s email address. This is a standard requirement for international shipping. While the package is in transit, the delivery service contacts the recipient via email for customs clearance. I have just checked and you are correct that many carriers including UPS, DHL, Royal Mail and Evri International now require an email address for international deliveries.   Once a buyer has paid there is no reason why they can't provide contact info, including their email address. We often get asked by buyers if it's safe to do so - the answer basically is that it's very much in their interests for the carrier to be able to communicate with them, even if it's just to know when delivery is...
