I bought boots for £540 that broke after 3 months
Summary: hooley5411 expressed frustration over buying boots that broke after three months, with no assistance from the seller, eBay, or the brand. They are unable to get a refund through their credit card due to time constraints. **peaseblossom** suggested exploring options like money claim online or reporting the issue to Trading Standards if the seller is a business.
I bought some boots that were brand new and they broke after 3 months.
The seller constantly ignores me, and ebay will not help me.
I tried multiple times to get them repaired directly with the brand but they will not help me as I have no proff of purchase (so no contract with them).
I tried really hard to get them repaired, but due to design of boots this is impossible.
I cannot get the money back from my credit card as the boots broke after the time I can do this.
I is really upsetting and concerning that I have been trying so hard for so long and I can't do anything to get any of my £540 back.
Is there anything I can do?

Mentor1 month agoIf it's only been 3 months you should still be able to issue a not as described chargeback, most cards give you 120 days to do this.
Failing that, if your seller is a UK registered business seller you may want to take some free advice from one of the online consumer groups (National Consumer Service is a good one, lots of free legal advice available there) or Citizens Advice regarding pursuing this via a legal claim.

Mentor1 month agoYou could try the small claims court, now called money claim online. Google for details. If they are business sellers report them to Trading Standards.
