I bought a Magic The Gathering Card but I've identified it's a counterfeit

As stated in the subject. Can anyone provide advice on what to do next? I don't mind returning and getting a full refund, but I am also aware that this item may just appear on the market again and sold as an original.

OP4 months agoThanks for the advice Tressy. I've done some more research and will be raising a case with Ebay to make sure no more counterfeits are sold. From the looks of some of the more recent reviews, others have had issue with counterfeit cards too.

OP4 months agoNo I understand potentially the stance Ebay would take on it but as a collector, it's just something I want to make sure that this counterfeit isn't resold back into the community to someone who might not know it's counterfeit. It's sad to see honestly and a bit of a downer that I bought this listing thinking it's genuine.

Mentor4 months agoeBay work and take action on cases. If this item is relisted, and another case for item not as describe is opened, this will raise red flags to eBay, and they may well then step in remove the item, or place selling sanctions on the seller's account.
Head to open that case for , item does not match description or photos, and escalate on day 4 , if not refunded beforehand.

Mentor4 months agoIn that case you need to use the money back guarantee and return it at the seller's expense for a refund.
Ebay won't care if it's sold again, they just require it to be returned, unless the seller chooses to refund without return.
