I am writing to report an unsolicited package I received today via DPD. I did not order this item, and I need your help to identify the seller and arrange a free return.

I am writing to report an unsolicited package I received today via DPD. I did not order this item, and I need your help to identify the seller and arrange a free return.
Shipment Details:
Tracking Number: 05162186349625
Carrier: DPD
Label Sender: Pitney Bowes c/o Geodis (Netherlands). This is only a logistics intermediary, not the actual seller.
Item Description & Condition:
Item: A vintage 1970s "Easy Rider" wristwatch.
Condition: The watch is broken. Upon opening the package (which was delivered alongside a separate order I did make), I discovered that the watch mechanism is defective and does not work. I have taken photos and video evidence of the damage.
The Issue: I contacted the seller of my actual order (a camera), but they confirmed they did not send this watch. DPD Estonia states they cannot identify the actual merchant behind the "Pitney Bowes" label and are asking me to pay for return shipping.
My Request: Since I did not order this item and it arrived damaged, I refuse to pay for return shipping. Please use the tracking number 05162186349625 to:
Identify the eBay seller who shipped this item.
Contact the seller and require them to provide a pre-paid return label.
Advise me on the next steps to return this broken item to the correct owner.
I am holding the item safely but need immediate assistance to resolve this, as I am currently in possession of broken property that does not belong to me.

Mentor1 week agoIt is strange that seller would appear to be in the Netherlands so most unlikely to have your address, so must assume it is a mistake by shipping company.
Nothing much you can do unless someone contacts you.

Mentor2 weeks ago · EditedTo clarify, you have received the camera that you ordered,, but you also received a broken watch in a separate package that you didn't order, from a different seller?
If this is the case then there's nowhere to go with this, you're not obliged to return a broken watch to a sender you can't identify.

Mentor2 weeks agoIt won't be possible for eBay to identify the sender of the item. If it wasn't delivered correctly they'll be able to make a claim with DPD.
