I am trying to purchase a bladed saw, however I am being asked to provide my credit card as proof of my age, I don't hold a credit card, I never have, I am 66, I have a debit card but it has to be a credit card, how pathetic is that. The seller has lost a sale.

By law anyone buying a bladed item has to prove age.

Ebay only accept CC, other sites may do it differently.

Ask a friend with CC to buy for you or use a local shop.

There needs to be other options to prove ones age, I have been a lawal customer to eBay for many years, I will purchase my items from Amazon in the future, they don't ask for proof of age. eBay have my DOB on file within my account details, what's the problem.
