Hello I am a UK VAT registered business based in the UK. I sold an item yesterday to a guy in the UK. Received my payment today but Ebay have deducted the VAT from my payment. Written on the ebay generated invoice it states at the bottom "order total includes ebay collected VAT. Ebay remits the tax to the UK tax authorities in accordance with applicable laws". Ebay generally do this when I sell abroad but not when my item buyer is in the UK. Being a VAT registered UK company I have to submit my own vat return every quarter. Anyone else had this issue.
