How would think rattan garden furniture should last !

I purchased a set of rattan furniture with 6 chairs for the garden brand new - i stored it over the winter and in the spring i took back out of storage - But noticed the rattan strapping was splitting/breaking .. But obviously now the ebay warrantee has run out .. I messaged the seller - but would not refund - i put the worst 2 chairs to one side and have used the other 4 until the spring ... now all the furniture is usable - This furniture was not fit for purpose - how would you know how long a product will last - when ebay give a short time to return !

Mentor4 months agoYou cannot report this to eBay as they do not offer warranties or guarantees on items, just that they are just as described on receipt. If they are not, a buyer has 30 days under eBay's 30 day MBG, Money Back Guarantee policy, to return the item for a full refund.
You are too late to claim a refund from eBay, but can try your payment provider, most offer a 120 day buyer protection policy.
If purchased from a registered UK business, who offered a guarantee and is now not upholding this, then turn to Citizens Advice for your next steps, if you wish to take this further.
