How to sent a rod and at what price.
I have a fishing rod I wish to sell and post safely I will be using a cardboard tube approx 150cm x 10cm. I have sold rods a while ago but the system has changed to 'Simple Delivery' on which there is no stated option for unusual sizes or link to a courier who will take it.
Does anyone know how to add delivery of this size of item please.

Mentor2 weeks agoYou should be able to select custom postage for your fishing rod, if you try and use eBay's Simple delivery you'll see:
Don't see your size?
Select oversized for heavier or larger items. You'll be required to choose your own postage service.

OP2 weeks agoYes - thanks for the prompt reply. I think I got that far?
I have it in :-
Item Category, Rods & Poles,
in Sporting Goods > Fishing .
Which I think pushes it towards whichever courier service is req.
Then :- Package Details - (Recommended)
Oversized - Above 20 kg or 61 x 46 x 46 cm
But the rod is 150cm long?
Then the 3 couriers :-
(Recommended) Yodel Store to Door 2–4 working days £5.88
Parcelforce 48 1–2 working days Tracking included £13.63
Evri Tracked Drop-off 2–3 working days Tracking included
Do I just select the recommended and hope? I 'm concerned that I will get charged a different rate later as £5.88 doesn't seem the right price?

Mentor2 weeks agoAs this is custom postage you don't have to accept Ebay's recommendations. You need to check the couriers' websites to see if they will take your item and at what price.
For oversized ebay means more than 20kg and also more than any of those measurements, which your rod is.

OP2 weeks agoOk - thanks for your prompt response. So the measurements are just generic oversize. I stated earlier I have sold rods before and it wasn't too bad to work out p&p on the old system but I don't want to make a mistake with the newer process.
Kind regards
