How to select custom delivery.

Question

I sell small light items for <£2 and the Royal mail letter post cost is £1.50 but ebay only gives me the option of using Simple delivery which forces me to use postage that costs a minimum of £2.70 - ie nearly twice the real postage cost. This puts buyers off. Is there a work round that will allow me to use Custom delivery. (I have a similar problem if I try to sell very heavy items that are heavier than simple delivery allows)

Judging by the amount of posts about this on here ebay seem to be reducing the availability of custom postage. Try changing category or sub-category and see if the option comes up. If not the alternative is to list with free postage - seller pays, factor that cost into your item price and buy your own postage outside of eBay. There would still be a SD label but you can claim a refund for it. Payment may be held for 14 days.
