how to report a suspected brushing scam?
Summary: 5gill123 suspects they are a victim of a brushing scam after receiving an unordered item. They are seeking assistance to report this to eBay, but encounter issues as the reporting form requires supplier details they don't have. They ask for alternative ways to contact eBay or how to report the incident with only a Royal Mail tracking number in hand.
I believe my details have been used for a brushing scam as I have received a low value item that no-one in my house ordered.
I want to report this to EBay but the standard form requires me to enter the supplier details and I do not have them. I want EBay to check their system for any fraudulent customer accounts using my address and our company name to generate fake "Verified Purchase" reviews. I want to ensure my data is protected and that this rogue seller is investigated.
Chatbot keeps circling me back to the same form which won’t submit. Does anyone have an email address or phone number for EBay that I can use or know how I report this. NOTE I DO NOT HAVE THR SELLERS DETAILS. ONLY THE ROYAL MAIL TRACKING NUMBER

As you are a company, these people can find your contact info all over the internet,
may not have come from ebay, not that they will be interested anyway.
These brushing items are also received by private ebayers.

Mentor1 week agoIt's not possible to report this to eBay and for them to pursue it in the manner you're describing.
Is it an eBay postage label that's being used? If so there should be a senders name and address in small font somewhere on it.
