How to cancel an order if I don't trust seller

Question

I ordered 2 items off a seller and he cancelled one saying I requested a cancellation.

I did not request this.

He has stated he cancelled it as someone else wanted to buy it.

I now don't want to purchase the second item as I have no trust in them.

How do I get this cancelled with affecting myself?

You can only ask the seller to cancel. If they send it anyway you may be able to return it but would have to pay return postage. If you haven't paid you could just not pay. That would be a defect on your account but one won't have any impact.

Obviously if the item is not sent you can open a "not received" case within 30 days to get a full refund.
