How to amend postage to collection for a gas cooker
Summary: stephemcgilchris-0 is selling a gas cooker on eBay and agreed on a price with a buyer for collection only. However, after accepting the offer, they encountered an issue with eBay showing a postage option instead. tommystrezures suggested that the problem might be related to a £10 postage option on the listing. They advised canceling the sale due to a problem with the buyer's address and relisting it with a collection-only option to avoid defects for both parties.
Please help:- I am selling a gas cooker. The buyer and myself mutually agreed the price for the gas cooker. In the original article on ebay to sell the gas cooker I clearly mentioned it was 'collection only'.
However when I clicked to accept the offer - ebay has taken me to postage site! Obviously a gas cooker will not be delivered via Royal Mail.
I saw no option for collection.
The buyer and myself do night know how to resolve this. I am a first time seller using ebay
Can someone please help me on this, or advise how to contact a person in the ebay customer services department?

Everything sorted now.

Mentor1 month agoYou have a postage option of £10 set up on the original listing hence why you are experiencing the problem mentioned. Has the buyer paid?
If they haven't, with the agreement of the buyer the best thing to do is cancel the sale with problem with buyers address (neither of you will get a defect for this) and relist with collection only. Then let them re purchase.
