How to add courier option for large item listing - desk
Summary: The discussion is about adding a courier option for listing large items, specifically a desk. mand63dog initiates the conversation by seeking advice on this feature. **peaseblossom** seems to provide a response, followed by a further inquiry or continuation from mand63dog, though details of the content remain unspecified.
Help needed please.
I have had a height adjustable desk listed for a few weeks now - it's getting views but no offers and I think this may be because I have it listed as collection only due to its size and weight.
I would like to add courier option but the size limits I can see for DHL means they wouldn't take it. Desk top size is 120 x 70cm so once packaged up with legs etc it will be larger than this.
Is there a way I can add courier option? Will Ebay / DHL accept this? Or as an alternative if not can I find my own courier - get a price and charge that to the buyer once sold?
Any help on this much appreciated. I've sold many other items recently using Simple Delivery no problems but have got stuck with this item. Thanks in advance

Mentor5 months agoYou need to get to the Oversize parcel option which allows you to opt out of SD and buy your own postage wherever you like.
Postage options depend on category and oversize should be available in the furniture category. So if it's not available for your current listing change category or sub-category until you get "Oversized" at the bottom of the weight pop-up under the Package size heading. Then click on Add Primary Service to buy your own postage. It has to be done on a laptop or desktop rather than the app.
These are good for large/heavy items:
