How on earth do you deal with an issue with Evri
Summary: chorleya is frustrated after a delivery service damaged a bowl they sold in May. They made a claim but have received no response despite attempts to contact the company. *vyolla* and tommystrezures explain that because it was an eBay Simple Delivery, the buyer should have opened an 'arrived damaged' case for eBay to manage the refund. chorleya confirmed it was a simple delivery, but having already refunded the buyer, it seems they can no longer pursue the claim through eBay or the delivery service.
I am pulling my hair out. Evri smashed a bowl I sold in May. I made a claim through their online claims form and have heard nothing after an acknowledgement email. I’ve tried emailing. No reply. I’ve tried ringing. The tracking number I’ve got the (automated) response is I have x thousand of deliveries one day in July. No option to talk to a human. The chatbot keeps telling me it hasn’t a parcel with either my details or reference. I can’t see anyway of actually talking to or getting a response from anyone

OP2 weeks agoIt was simple delivery

Mentor2 weeks agoAh, then you should have let your buyer open a claim and for eBay to refund. Now that you've refunded there isn't a way to pursue this with Evri or eBay.

OP2 weeks agoYes. I know that now. Actually I managed to speak to someone from eBay and hopefully will get a refund that way.

Mentor2 weeks agoIf the item was simple delivery (you don't say) then its not you that needs to deal with it would have been eBay. Your buyer should have opened an arrived damage case and let ebay deal with matters. The chatbots may be telling you it hasn't got your details or reference as its with eBay and not you?
Are you able to clarify how you sent the item eg simple delivery or not?

Mentor2 weeks agoIf it was an eBay Simple Delivery then your buyer should have opened an eBay return and selected the 'Arrived damaged' reason and then eBay would have dealt with it and refunded the buyer.
Did you refund them?

OP2 weeks agoThey contacted and asked me for a refund which I did and told me I could make a claim against Evri which I did. I assumed that was the right thing to do. It generated a claim ref but nothing since
