How do you limit the posting services to age verified?!?!?!?!?
This site is rubbish! It can ban your listing for having knives and a non age verified option for postage, but it doesn't give you the ability to remove non-age verified options 🤦♂️ I've spent ages trying to sort this to sell a tea set! How? How is this done???

OP6 months ago@tressygirl OK. Take a look at this first image. This is what I see when I click my username here. Not sure what you see, but I suspect the same.

I've added a red box to show you the date (prior to the date of the US account) and the number "10" next to the "View Listings" link. If I click the "10", I see this....
Notice that this is completely empty. No feedback at all. Not the same username. It is completely unrelated to the data that we can see on the previous screen.

OP6 months agoThat's the thing, when I click on my username, I get this screen...
...which I suspect you do not.
Oh well, this was a bit of a detour from the original issue. The original issue was solved by killing the listing, switching to a business listing, then selecting the age verified options there.

Mentor6 months agoThat is correct, if you click on your username you and we all , with get that same screen.
Now on that screen , click on your feedback score , it will bring you to your Feedback profile and will show your account is registered in the States.
Perhaps use a laptop / PC to do all this not the app/ mobile browser, those sometimes doesn't offer all the options / features you need. Try Chrome, that seems to work well and follow the above I have outlined.

OP6 months ago@tressygirl I think you may be misunderstanding the issue. Look at the feedback score. It says 10. Click on it. It's an empty profile. No feedback. Nothing. This shows that the link is showing data that doesn't exist in the profile it takes you to.
It is like clicking on a link for Google saying "Google" and being taken to the BBC. That's not right.
Also, I rarely use a mobile device for ebay. It is not the device I am using. The issue is the UI and the backend data.

Mentor6 months agoIf I click on your feedback score of 10, this is what I get...
An account which is registered in the United States, and this is what everyone else is seeing here, too.
This is the account you are posting from, to us here, you may well have another account, members are allowed to have several accounts.

Mentor6 months agoIt must be your account because you asked from it and obviously logged into it with password.
You are also receiving replies from it.

OP6 months ago@tobiasd4 I'm not receiving replies from that account. I am receiving them from my @rilhia account. I am logged in under a single account. My previous comment shows this.
This is what I see when I click on my name....
) View listingsNotice the "10 feedbacks" link. I have this feedback for my rilhia account. But the link takes you to an account with no feedback.
This (rilhia) is the ONLY account I have logged in to. When I saw the responses to this post today I had literally just printed out a Royal Mail delivery label for an item I have sent today. I do not recall ever creating the richa_6521 account. Somehow my account "rilhia" has become linked to this other account. This points to a serious flaw on ebay's side.
FYI I am a programmer and know my way around a neural network. I am not making a mistake here. There clearly is another account, but I am not logging in to it. It has somehow become linked.

Mentor6 months agoI can not explain what is happening, but all questions and replies are on USA account.
Did you perhaps open ebay account on ebay.com to start with.

Mentor6 months agoYou may have another account, but the one you are using to post here, we can all see, the account is registered in the States.

OP6 months ago@tressygirl this is a little concerning. It's not the cause of my issue because I know that I am using the rilhia account for buying/selling. You can see by looking at the data....
https://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/rilhia?_tab=about
But there is an account which appears to be linked to this account. The one that @tobiasd4 saw...
https://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/richa_6521?_tab=about
But when I click my username here, I see this....
) View listingsCheck the "View Listings" link.
This looks like a data issue with ebay.

Mentor6 months agoYou must always ask question from account you are having issues with.
I replied with reference to that one.

Mentor6 months agoThis is what your feedback page shows.
You can't transfer account, you need to open new UK account.
rilhia
OP6 months ago@tobiasd4 can you send me a link to where you're seeing this? I've been selling with this account for well over a year. This is not a US account. Everything defaults to GBP, has always defaulted to GBP and I can use the automatic postage options without issue. It's only in the situation where I was selling something containing a blade where I had this issue.
tobiasd4
Mentor6 months agoYou are in USA, so wont use UK Royal mail.
You need to log out and back into ebay.com
rilhia
OP6 months ago@tobiasd4 I'm in the UK. I found a way to do this. But the process sucks.
tressygirl
Mentor6 months agoSe if this link helps explain how to add that age verification requirement, to your postage .

OP6 months agoI'm afraid this didn't really help. The only way I was able to do this was to scrap the listing I had set up, then set up a business listing. This made limiting the options to "Age Verified" work. But (and this is the REALLY annoying part) you don't get prices. You have to find them yourself. So I went to the Royal Mail web page and guess what? They don't tell you. So the ONLY way I could do this was to look at similar listings and find the prices that they had used. I ended up copying £9.50. It actually cost me £11.43.
@ebay you really need to sort this out. It's a MASSIVE failing when you force people to use options that you do not make easily available.
