How do I enter a new tracking code for the global tracking programme?
I had a QR code to post to a buyer in Milan, Italy which I printed off.
I then panicked because I didn’t realise it was the global programme and wondered how postage of £3 would get the item to him. I also couldn’t see his address and where the parcel was going to.
I got a wired email from EBay saying that they would work with the buyer to send the package. The buyer said he hadn’t heard from EBay but would I send it to a different address in London? I said no.
Meantime, I had to go on holiday and told the buyer I would sort it out on my return. I have sent the item to the EBay distribution centre (I managed to find the address and ref number) and paid tracking.
But I cannot insert the updated tracking number as it is to the global distribution centre.
what can I do about this to ensure it gets to the buyer successfully?
I am so frustrated. I have been chasing my tail for days on this.
Thanks for your help.

Mentor9 months agoIf you can't change the tracking via View Order Details for the item on your orders list contact ebay in the morning and ask them to change if for you. You can request a callback on here:

Mentor9 months agoNone if this makes much sense.
If GSP is used you do not send direct to buyer, so postage is only needed to post to address of GSP in UK.
Label produced would be to address of GSP and by doing it all yourself it greatly increases the chances of item NOT getting to seller, as GSP may not know who sent item to them or who the buyer is.
Normally proof of delivery to GSP, would be sufficient to protect you against claims of not received, but by not using correct label anything is now possible.
