How do I add a collection code online?
Summary: martinlest is trying to enter a buyer's collection code on eBay for an item they sold. They are having difficulty finding where to input the code on the Order Details page. **peaseblossom** advises to use a dropdown arrow next to the View Order Details link, but martinlest doesn't see it. *vyolla* suggests entering the code when clicking 'Confirm Collection' once the buyer arrives. martinlest decides to wait until the buyer comes to proceed, expressing gratitude for the assistance received.
Hi. I just sold an item which is being collected. On the Order details page (eBay website, not app) there is supposed to be a box or link, or something, for me to enter the buyer's collection code: but there no such thing on my PC, as far as I can see. Can anyone help with specifric instructions on how to find this please? Thanks!

OP1 month ago(I don't have a 'little downward arrow right next to the View Order Details'.. 'View Order Details' is a clickable link, white text on a large green banner across the top of the item detail page: a similar green banner shows 'Relist' below it)

OP1 month agoThanks. Yes, the buyer paid the 'buy it now price' The Order details page shows this: "Arrange collection. Scan or enter the buyer's code to confirm collection and get paid". There's a blue box 'Confirm Collection'. I haven't pressed that as the buyer isn't collecting till later in ther week.. Otherwise, I don't see any space in which to enter the code or drop-down that mentions it. Maybe when the buyer is here and I press 'Confirm Collection'??

Mentor1 month agoIn your order details, the item will be shown as Awaiting collection, and you'll see the buyer's username and approximate local area. When your buyer comes to collect they should give you the code to enter/let you scan the QR code (advising against this because I can see a security issue here), which you add before handing over the treadmill (just to make sure it's a legit code).
So, your buyer has paid but you can't find anywhere to add the code?

OP1 month agoThanks, but I click on the View Order Details option in the drop-down box on the sold item, but when I get to that page I can't find any box or dropdown menu with an option to enter a code. What do I click on when I am in the Order Details page? Driving me nuts, 'cos I am certain it must be me being dense!

Mentor1 month agoIt's the little downward arrow right next to the View Order Details link for that item. Don't click on the View Order tab itself.

Mentor1 month ago · EditedOn a PC you manually enter the buyer's 6 digit code via the View Order Details dropdown menu arrow for the item on your orders/sold list. The buyer has to pay online via ebay first.
