How can I request payment for a duplicate item sent
Good afternoon all,
I have a dilemma, I have sent out 2 of the same item to a buyer by mistake
When I asked the buyer if they received 2 items they said yes and can they keep the 2nd one as their son wants it and pay for it.
So how can I request payment for the second item as we cannot just message the buyer and request payment via PayPal.

I have managed to sort it
He just sent his email address in PayPal chat. So I will probably hear something about breaking their rules and all that.
They should implement some sort of system to help with this problem

Mentor1 month agoThere is no provision for making extra payments through ebay.
I had something similar recently and got round it by listing for buyer to buy and pay as a new purchase.
When I listed I included all the details except for the title, to avoid another buyer jumping in. I made the title something like “Relisted for repurchase by xxxxxx”. The xxxxxx I did not use buyers ID but his first name for example Brian. If done with buyers agreement and at an agreed time, the whole transaction can be over in a few minutes.
As soon as listed advise buyer of item number or send link to the listing.

Mentor1 month agoThe payment would need to be outside of eBay via PayPal or bank transfer.

OP1 month agoHi, I cannot get their details due to ebay policys . So that option is no good. Thanks for the comment .
