How can I offer a customer first class postage
A customer is interested in one of my listings, but only if they can get it quickly. How can I offer them the option of first class Royal Mail postage when Simple Delivery only allows second class? It's quite a low value item, but I want to be helpful to them.

Mentor6 months agoSD only offers cheapest options to buyers. What you could do is revise the listing to free postage and add the cost of first class to the item price.
To get the buyer's address and mark dispatched you open the original SD label (Get prepaid label > Get prepaid label and QR code). The option to change the tracking has been removed but you would be able to add the new number to a "not received" case if that were necessary.
You can claim a refund for an unused label here:

OP6 months agoThank you, peaseblossom, for such a quick and helpful reply. I will offer the customer that option. I tried to say that I had accepted your answer as the solution, but the system sent me a message saying "authentication failed". But I am very grateful.
