How can I give eBay LIVE the RED CARD?
Summary: 3rdtimelucky64 expresses frustration with 'eBay Live' advertisements, comparing them unfavorably to World Cup 'Hydration Breaks' and describing them as intrusive and unwelcome, particularly in search results. They express a wish for an Opt Out setting, noting that these ads negatively impact their user experience, driving them to use the website instead of the app. **peaseblossom** suggests a partial solution for the app by going to My eBay > Settings > Notifications > Shopping updates and toggling eBay Live off, but notes that desktop users may need to resort to an adblocker.
Is there a way to turn off these awful ‘eBay live’ adverts? They’re worse than ‘Hydration Breaks’ in the World Cup!
If there’s not, there really ought to be an Opt Out setting. They are a pain in the @ss, popping up everywhere - especially in search results, ruining the eBay ‘user experience.’ They’re driving me away from the App & pushing me towards using the website more.
I’m sick of looking at tacky AI generated ads featuring narcissistic, gurning fools promoting items I’m not remotely interested in.
And even if I WAS interested in what they are trying to flog I certainly wouldn’t take part in a live bidding war with buyers with FOMO, and get pressured into buying cr@p I don’t need. This isn’t QVC.
PS - I have ALWAYS been opted out of AdChoice.

Mentor1 month agoOn the app go to My eBay > Settings > Notifications > Shopping updates and toggle eBay Live to off. I don't think you can get rid of it on a desktop apart from using an adblocker.
