high value watch purchase delivery concerns

Question

Hi, im looking at buying a high value watch within uk. The seller has explicitly stated the watch will be packed very securely. How do i know the authenticator service will provide the same well packaged service?

Also is there a risk of lost / stolen packages from the courier. Theres to many random pictures of doorsteps and people saying they never saw a parcel these days.

These are all risks you take when buying on ebay. If you are concerned do not buy on ebay, or stick to collection items.

If an item arrives damaged in transit, you open a Not as described case, damaged in transit, and ebay refunds not the seller. I am afraid I feel this is open to abuse, and ebay will realise eventually.
