Hi-jacked book
I have a self published book on Amazon Kindle. I have just noticed it is being advertised for sale on EBay. I did not post it here. I think someone has hi-jacked my book! What can I do?

Mentor8 months agoIt would have been easier to answer your question if you had said whether the book is beig sold in physical or digital format.
If in physical format, anyone who bought your book is entitled to resell it. If you're saying that the copy for sale is couterfeit you can register your rights to your work under eBay's VeRO scheme to protect intellectual property rights, see foot of page. Once registered, yuo can report it for removal.
If it's being advertised for digital delivery this is prohibited on eBay anyway (unless you, as the rights holder, were selling it). You can report it as a contravention of eBay's digital delivery policy; there is a link in every listing to report it. Or for belt and braces, you could also report it through VeRO for violating your rights as author or publisher.

eBay don't usually allow digitally delivered books and without seeing the listing it's hard to check if it's breaking eBay policy, but it probably is.
Contact them and tell them that they are breaching your copyright by selling your property without permission, and that they need to remove the listings else you'll need to take legal action against them.

Or do you mean that there are lots of new copies for sale by the same seller?
