but item postage was over estimation ,

Can i invoice a buyer for addition postage above what was paid (£2.70) that there happy to pay

and how do i invoice them now items has sold please ..

or do i have to send them my sort code and account number ....

You listed the books with a postage price of £4.95. That's the price the buyer is entitled to pay, and most would tell you that.

If you didn't check the cost correctly that's your responsibility, not your buyer's.

No, you'd have to cancel/refund the whole transaction with their agreement and relist with correct postage for them to buy and pay again. Or are you saying they've been delivered already? If so you can try arranging payment with them but it's not something you can do on ebay.
