Hi all. I sold a lidded sugar bowl last week. It was extremely well packaged as .
I sold an item.last week. Ive just had messsge from.ebay saying "case opened. You don't need to refund the buyer. You won't get the item back. Thank you for using simple delivery" I have no idea what has gone on here. I received no message from the customer. There's no option NOT to use simple delivery so does this mean that somebody can just say they want a refund, ebay give it to them and I dont get the item returned? It seems VERY unfair.

Mentor6 months agoIt does seem all too easy, ebay just giving money away. I am sure they make no attempt to investigate this sort of claim.
If genuine fine for seller, but I am sure this stupid system is being abused by buyers.

·6 months agoYou still get your payment for the sold item, the buyer gets to keep the damaged item and Ebay refund them.
The buyer did not have to message you. If they opened a case stating the item arrived damaged, Ebay would deal with the claim and the refund.
There is no financial impact on you and no negative effect on your account.
