Help with buyer receiving the money
I purchased an item after bidding for it, the money is showing as paid in my bank account.
The seller is now saying they cannot receive the money as I should have been sent a code.
I have not received the code to give them, I have never come across this before. can anyone please advise me?

Mentor6 days agoThe seller will get paid with or without a code, or tracking. It just takes longer.

Mentor6 days agoYou only need a code if the item is being collected by you. Then you give them the code when you pick the item up to prove to ebay that you have the item. For items being posted the money may be held if the seller is new. Once the postal tracking shows delivered payment will be released.

OP6 days agoThank you for you helpful reply, I have picked up the item, how do I get the code? I only have a basic mobile phone and I haven't had any messages and nothing on Ebay either.

Mentor6 days agoAs long as you paid online via ebay the code will be on the confirmation email sent by ebay. You don't need a phone, it will be on a PC or laptop too. Even without that the seller will get the money, usually after 14 days, or 30 days if they're new.
