HELP FOR WARRENTY PRODUCT BUT SELLER NOT RESPONDING
Summary: vaishakh is experiencing issues with a faulty product purchased on eBay, which had a money-back guarantee and a one-year warranty. After the product failed a second time, the seller and company stopped responding. *vyolla* and tommystrezures advised that options for recourse through eBay and payment providers have expired. They suggested checking the manufacturer's warranty, but noted challenges when dealing with sellers outside the UK. vaishakh confirmed the difficulty in contacting the company directly.
Hi,
I purchased a product on eBay, which came with a money-back guarantee. The item cost £1500 and was delivered faulty.
I requested a replacement, and the product was replaced in November from Singapore.
The replacement worked for only one month before it became faulty again.
The product has a one year warranty, but now the seller or company is not responding, and I'm concerned that I've lost my entire £1500.
Since it's been more than six months since the purchase, I'm unsure how to proceed to get a refund or involve eBay in this issue. What should I do?

Mentor1 week agoSadly you have discovered what many do. Once the 30 day money back guarantee period is up ebay are not interested, and warranties are almost impossible to enforce.

Mentor1 week agoItems sold via third party online sites usually have their manufacturers guarantee invalidated, and if the manufacturer is located in India but won't get back to you there isn't any way forward here.
If your seller is a UK registered business seller then for that large amount it may be worth looking at a legal claim. Can you just confirm that they are a UK registered business seller?

Mentor1 week agoIs there a manufacturer warranty?
Sadly you are out of time for recourse with eBay or your payment provider to get this resolved.
If your seller is based in Singapore enforcing a warranty is nigh on impossible. If the seller is registered in the uk and is a business you could try citizens advice.
This and we see it a lot is the problem of buying high ticket items through eBay, there is no way to enforce most of the supposed warranty products.

Mentor1 week agoYou have 30 days to return an item that's not as described via eBay under their Money Back Guarantee, same for PayPal.
If you paid with a debit/credit card or ApplePay you have 120 days to issue a not as described chargeback.
Unfortunately, for items bought that long ago, you're way out of time to pursue a refund.
