HELP !!
Summary: the_african_queen expressed frustration with eBay's customer service, finding it difficult to get a straightforward answer from the automated help systems. They encountered an issue with postage costs on a £15 item listing, where an Australian buyer's offer did not account for the £43.16 postage despite a £2.94 shipping estimate. **peaseblossom** and *vyolla* clarified that buyer offers exclude postage and suggested that if enrolled in eBay's Global Shipping Program, the correct postage would be displayed on the buyer's end.
Why is it impossible to speak to a human being at eBay? Don't they employ any?
I've just wasted 2 hours trying to get an answer to a straightforward question. But AI "doesn't understand", however I word it. "Help" has sent me round and round in circles. It's EXTREMELY frustrating.
I have a listing for a £15 item, with £2.94pp generated by eBay, but the offer has come from Australia and eBay "Help" quotes £43.16pp. I have pointed this out to the buyer and he has come back with a better offer - still below £15 and no mention of postage.
I've sent "eBay" an email which will be answered in 48hours. I have less than 24hours to find out how to respond, given that £2.94 is 'built into' the price.

Mentor2 weeks agoIf you are not using Global Shipping then unless you send him an invoice with postage he will not be able to pay.

Mentor2 weeks agoThe offer excludes the postage price, that will stay the same as what's showing on your listing.

Mentor2 weeks agoBuyers' offers are always excluding postage. Assuming you are enrolled in ebay's Global Shippping programme the buyer will see what the postage to Oz is at their end. You use the UK postage to send to the UK GSP hub.
