I have received an item that isn't the same as the listing. It is broken but also not the same item. The seller has asked me to return and has opened a case and I have a qr code to send back. The seller has said they check to see if I am sending a different item back by way of a breakers mark. The items doesn't have one. So how do I deal with it.

Mentor3 weeks agoIF eBay have provided you a returns label via the case YOU have opened then you should have nothing to worry about. The seller will reimburse you once they have the item returned on the tracked service provided by eBay.
If they don't refund you after 3 days, escalate the case on day 4 and you will be refunded.
In the mean time you need to have no contact with the seller. They may be trying it on into scaring you not to return the item.
