Help!
I purchased item last Saturday, I was provided with a tracking number and latest delivery date of the 20th October. The tracking number provided is not recognised. I asked seller who just said to wait until the 20th

Mentor11 months agoSome sellers have problems using ebay's new Simple Delivery system, or just don't realise they are supposed to use it. So they buy their own postage and that tracking number is not registered on ebay. You cannot start a "not received" case with ebay until after the estimated delivery date anyway and odds are the item will arrive by then.

Mentor11 months agoThere can be a number of reasons why tracking numbers are not recognised. Tracking is mainly for the seller's protection anyway. The seller has to prove that an item was delivered; the buyer doesn't have to prove that it wasn't.
The seller is correct that both parties need to wait until after the latest estimated delivery date. The buyer is then entitled to open an "item not received" case under eBay's money back guarantee.
