Have to delay posting items

Question

We like to pack up and post immediately. Ebay now say "the buyer could still be spending" so we are not allowed to pack and post. and have to wait 3 hours by which time the post has gone. We have nothing else finishing so it is frustrating. Why has this changed?

It's optional, you don't have to wait.

eBay state:

You are not required to hold off on dispatching an order while waiting for this 3-hour window to pass. If a transaction has been paid for and finalised, you can proceed to print shipping labels.

It's a new thing ebay have introduced because sellers were complaining about not being able to combine postage for multiplie item sales. It's supposed to be advisory so I thought you could just go ahead anyway if you wanted to.
