Has anyone else had problems receiving items won where the seller is using ebay delivery?
Hi, has anyone else had any problems receiving items purchased where the seller has used ebay delivery? Only I've now received two refunds for two auctions won where royal mail tracking just says we are waiting to receive the package and contacting the seller reveals that the parcel was in fact posted?

Mentor9 months agoPrivate sellers are now having to use eBay's Simple Delivery process, but we do not have any data here for any more or less items not received. Answering questions on this subject, I cannot see if there has been any significant rise, but of course items do get lost in the post.
Under Simple Delivery as soon as a label is purchased then the item is marked as dispatched. This can be misleading as the seller may indeed wish to post the item in the next few days.
Look to the item's last estimated date for delivery, which are just eBay's estimates and can be a tad optimistic too!
Do your items eventually arrive ?

OP9 months agoNo, neither item has ever arrived , but, all other purchases that I've made recently have made no mention of ebay despatch and have all arrived safely ? It's just a bit worrying where these items are disappearing to?

Mentor9 months agoWhether Simple Delivery has been used or not , if items do not arrive a reasonable time after their last estimated date for delivery open those cases for item not received for that full refund.
I think it's just bad coincidence these were both eBay delivery ( I think you mean Simple Delivery? ) There have been no other posts reporting an influx of non deliveries, so it's not a general issue relating to SD.
