Handling Refund Requests and System Notifications
Summary: deepgreen55 shared an experience where they refunded a buyer but kept receiving notifications from the system asking for a response to the refund request. *vyolla* suggested it might be a timing issue if both the seller and buyer initiated refund-related actions simultaneously. deepgreen55 confirmed this overlap as a possible reason for the notifications. They sought advice on resolving these notifications and ensuring the issue doesn't recur.
Hi everyone,
I had an interesting experience recently that I'd love to get your take on. A buyer requested a refund from me, and I went ahead and refunded them in full about 5–6 days ago. However, I keep receiving notifications from the system, prompting me to respond to the same refund request.
Has anyone else encountered a similar issue? What steps did you take to resolve it? Do you think it's just a system error, or is there a way to ensure these notifications stop? I'm curious to hear about any advice or solutions you might have found. Your experiences could really help others facing similar situations!
Looking forward to your thoughts!

Mentor1 month agoProbably just playing catch up if you've already refunded the original payment, it can't be refunded twice. Did you refund via an eBay item not received or eBay return case?

OP1 month agoI believe this is happening because both actions were started around the same time. I initiated and completed the refund from my side, while the buyer also submitted a refund request through eBay.

Mentor1 month agoHow did you make the refund? Just confirming that it was a refund of the original payment and not a direct payment via PayPal or another means?
