Handling a refund

I have sold an item which has been delivered damaged, I have not received any funds from eBay but when I go to refund the customer it wants to take it out of my bank account, how does this work? Surely eBay should been refunding the money they have recieved

Ebay settle Damaged in transit claims, but buyer needs to open the case not as described arrived damaged.

If done properly you the seller do not refund.

If you need to refund and have no available funds, then refund has to be from bank account. Funds on hold will then be released, which you can withdraw to bank.

Did you sell it using Simple Delivery and has the buyer opened a case using 'arrived damaged' as the reason?
